The Dazzle messes up its own audio settings when the device initializes (starts capturing) for anything but Pinnacle's own DVD recording software, and it also loses its Crossbar device association.

It's a driver issue, which is unlikely to ever get fixed, but there are at least two workarounds. Note: I suppose I can have her try to split the RCA out of the dazzle and take one of the outputs and convert it to 1/8" stereo, but this seems like a bad workaround.
